Weddings
St Andrew’s Anglican Church is one of Adelaide’s oldest churches, with a rich history spanning 175 years. Many couples have chosen this sacred space to begin their lives together, surrounded by family and friends. Within an Anglican framework, the specifics of the service can be catered to your preferences.
The Church can accommodate up to 220 guests, offering a traditional and intimate setting for your wedding.
The Church features a beautiful, restored interior with a single aisle, maintaining its heritage character. It is fully air-conditioned and equipped with a modern sound system.
Our pipe organ adds a magnificent sound, and our organists are available to play on your wedding day. For a special touch, the historic six bells in the tower can be played as you exit the Church.
The Parish Centre provides an excellent space for post-ceremony refreshments, complete with kitchen facilities and access to the courtyard.

Baptisms and Blessings

Baptism marks a person’s entry into the Christian community, reflecting God’s love and the desire to belong to a faith family.
Baptisms can be held during regular Sunday services or at other times by arrangement with the Parish Priest.
For children, parents and godparents promise to nurture the child’s faith. Godparents need not be Anglican, but must be baptised.
Adults are also welcome to be baptised, with preparation for those new to the Christian faith.
Confirmation Preparation
For young people and adults wishing to confirm the promises made at baptism, St Andrew’s can help prepare you for your Confirmation ceremony.
Please contact the Rector or Office for information about upcoming Confirmation classes.

Funeral and Memorial Services

At St Andrew’s, we understand the grief of losing a loved one and the importance of honouring their life. We offer a compassionate service that listens to your family’s wishes and helps you say farewell with dignity. Our heritage-listed church provides a sacred space to gather for this significant occasion.
If you have not yet engaged with a funeral director, we can assist with this process.
After the service, the Parish Centre is available for sharing memories and light refreshments. Catering can be arranged by the church or privately.
If you wish to pre-arrange a funeral, please schedule a meeting with the Rector, who will record your wishes with the Parish Office.
Our Rose Garden is open to all who wish to inter ashes, providing a beautiful, lasting place of rest.
